A United Way Agency and member of the
U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants
refugee resettlement agency dedicated to assisting refugees, immigrants, and other new
Americans in overcoming social, cultural, and economic barriers so that they can estab-
lish a successful new life in the United States.
Every year ISC resettles more than 100 new refugees in Greater Cleveland. This is ac-
complished through the U.S. Department of State in cooperation with the United Na-
tions High Commission for Refugees (UNHRC). ISC receives refugees upon their ar-
rival in Greater Cleveland and coordinates all aspects of learning about a new culture
and earning a living in America.
ISC’s Immigration Consultation Program is the only recognized service of its kind in the
Greater Cleveland area. We are accredited by the U.S. Department of Justice to counsel
and represent people before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
(formerly INS) and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Because we are knowledgeable
and experienced in all areas of immigration law, we receive over 1,000 requests every
year for immigration consultation or representation.
upgrading a current job. Our one-on-one counseling helps each person identify their
needs and talents, and assists in understanding what is expected in the American work-
place.

Communicating effectively is a valuable key to success as a new resident in a new
country. That’s why we offer English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) on a
teachers who are experienced in teaching English to people who speak other languages.

Becoming a citizen of the United States is, without a doubt, one of the proudest days
of an immigrant or refugee’s life – and ISC is pleased to help newcomers to America
achieve this goal. All of our programs – from learning English to securing a job – offer
the skills and education needed to become an asset to the new homeland and source of
pride for the newcomer and their family. The ISC offers assistance in preparation for the
U.S. citizenship interview by teaching American history and government, and what are
the duties as a U.S. citizen.

The ISC has started a market garden for refugees and immigrants. This program develops
entrepreneurial skills while offering local, safe food for refugees.
To preserve and honor the diverse peoples and cultures represented in Northeast Ohio,
ISC presents the annual International Folk Festival. With the support of Cuyahoga Arts
& Culture, corporations, and individual donors, this event features international perform-
ers living in our region and symbolizes the harmonious blending of many cultures and

from The Kenneth J. Kovach Company!

What’s inside?

The average person thinks about 12,000 thoughts per day. Deep thinkers have as many as
50,000 thoughts per day. If you subtract 8 hours for sleeping, that comes to nearly a thought
per second!
 That's a lot of noise!

Do you know . . . which thoughts support your success? Which thoughts
sabotage your efforts?
The 6 Advisors Coaching program uses a groundbreaking tool to assess your
personal motivation and drive for success. The coaching program helps business
owners, executives and key decision-makers to identify thinking patterns limiting
their success and to develop a workable plan for increasing personal productivity
and gratification.
Ken Kovach is a trained and highly-skilled practioner in using the 6 Advisors
Coaching resources. He is a graduate of the 6 Advisors Coaching Academy
and a certified coach and facilitator with the 6 Advisors Coaching resources.
